Swimming dragon - exercise and

improve your patience!

      A simple exercise would help

understand and

adjusts the flow of emotion.

·      Seat in the proper position. Refer to my article for explanation, and sit properly if needed.

·       Turn on the timer on the telephone, adjust the timer for 5 min.

·      Have your hands in the praying position, remain in pose for 5 min. Should exercise become too challenging, rest your hands for the moment (have them resting on the level of your belly).

Seating in the praying position aligns the whole spine, shoulder, and arm. Beginners can observe tension in the mentioned areas. Should that happen, perform light patting to massage and remove the tension.

·      Come back to the seating position, spend a few minutes sitting quietly before you start the daily activity.

Consider your first time practicing as a test; take note of how long you last physically and how you feel emotionally, which will give you a chance to observe progress. As you practice, you will notice that practice is getting easier and you can hold the pose longer. That will be your measurement of progress. In your everyday life, you will be much more patient than before.

My advice is “don’t try to be better than you are.” Progress will come with time and practice; you are developing your patience.

 Understanding this exercise.

Sitting correctly is crucial to doing this practice. It opens the flow of energy, allowing a room practice for a prolonged period. Practicing this exercise develops proper posture, promotes good nighttime relaxation, and relieves tension in the upper body.

When practicing you will experience flow of the thoughts, emotions, ” what the hell is it” question would be a perfect reaction for first time practice. Your mind is not ready for such a challenge, yet when you just continue, patience, strength of will, prolonged concentration, and focus will be achieved.
