Tap into your brain’s full potential.

Tap into your brain’s full potential.

Take a moment to consider your own intellectual potential and how your brain works. The brain needs a steady supply of oxygen and actually uses about 70% of the body’s total oxygen. When oxygen levels drop, it’s common to experience scattered thoughts, difficulty focusing, and reduced concentration. Imagine sitting through a long meeting with lots of people. You might find yourself yawning and massaging your neck to stay alert. That yawn is your brain’s way of asking for more oxygen.
Qi Gong helps you breathe more deeply and slowly, which boosts your oxygen supply. Some exercises also relax your neck muscles, letting more blood reach your brain. This extra blood flow raises your oxygen levels and helps your brain work better.
When you improve your Qi and oxygen flow, your brain can function at its best. However, this alone won’t eliminate distracting thoughts. To clear your mind and keep it that way, you need to train your brain. Active meditation techniques can help you stay clear and focused.

I hope this helps you take the first step in training your mind: the rule of smiling.
Get your practice space ready. Open a window, lay out a comfortable mat, and play some music if you like.
Relax and breathe naturally. Pay attention to your breath.
Count each exhale from one to ten, then start over.
Aim to practice for 10 to 15 minutes every day.
